Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Fishing Alone In The Winter by Yang Wencong was sold in the Dragon & Phoenix - 800 Years of Patronage auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2004. It changed hands for a price of HKD 298,750.00 (€ 28,975.98) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 250,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Wencong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Verdant Mountains in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 23,150,000.00 (€ 2,547,930.98).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Fishing Alone In The Winter von Yang Wencong wurde im November 2004 in der Auktion Dragon & Phoenix - 800 Years of Patronage bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 298.750,00 (€ 28.975,98) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 300.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Wencong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Verdant Mountains im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 23.150.000,00 (€ 2.547.930,98).
