It achieved a price of HKD 92,000.00 (€ 8,556.60), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 15%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yang Xian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Twelve-Character Couplet In Clerical Script, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 295,000.00 (€ 32,468.23).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Ancient Official Script von Yang Xian wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 92.000,00 (€ 8.556,60) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 15%. Für andere Arbeiten von Yang Xian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Twelve-Character Couplet In Clerical Script beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 295.000,00 (€ 32.468,23) versteigert wurde.
