Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Infinity-Nets (OXTERAL) by Yayoi Kusama was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year. The price achieved of HKD 25,650,000 (€ 3,940,981) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as HKD 22,000,000 - 28,000,000. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yayoi Kusama - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Nets), which sold at auction in May this year for USD 10,496,000 (€ 9,781,008).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Infinity-Nets (OXTERAL) von Yayoi Kusama kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.650.000 (€ 3.940.981) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 22.000.000 – 28.000.000 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Nets) beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für USD 10.496.000 (€ 9.781.008) versteigert wurde.
