Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Phallus Bottle) by Yayoi Kusama was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2020. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 32,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Phallus Bottle) von Yayoi Kusama kam im Juni 2020 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 32.500,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pumpkin im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 30.635.869,57).
