Hanging scroll, ink and colour on paper, signed Kinkoku Dojin sha and sealed Kinkoku, slight creasing; a hanging scroll depicting bamboo and calligraphy, ink on paper, signed and sealed Tosai and with two other seals, slight creasing and old restoration; a hanging scroll depicting a mountain landscape with river and boatmen, ink and colour on silk, signed Hanko sha aeidai and sealed Hanko; a hanging scroll depicting lotus plants, ink on silk, signed and dated Mizunoe-inu [1862] Tetsuo yowai nanajugo [at age 75], sealed Taku Somon, Tetsuo and another seal, slight creasing

Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Snowy landscape by Yokoi Kinkoku for GBP 478.00 (€ 711.41). This price was achieved in the auction JAPANESE ART AND DESIGN INCLUDING ARTS OF THE SAMURAI at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Yokoi Kinkoku have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spring and winter landscape in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 3,107.00 (€ 4,460.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Snowy landscape von Yokoi Kinkoku für GBP 478,00 (€ 711,41) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion JAPANESE ART AND DESIGN INCLUDING ARTS OF THE SAMURAI bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yokoi Kinkoku auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spring and winter landscape im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.107,00 (€ 4.460,14).
