A top price for Ype Wenning - as previously expected
In September 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Clocks, Furniture and Works of Art from the Venema Collection, which included the work The lake at night by Ype Wenning. The price achieved of EUR 2,160.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,800.00 – 2,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The lake at night is the most expensive artwork by Ype Wenning that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im September 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Clocks, Furniture and Works of Art from the Venema Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit The lake at night von Ype Wenning zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.160,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.800,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden.
