A top price for Yu Chengyao - as previously expected
In November 2008 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese 20th Century Art (Evening Sale), which included the work Magnificent Landscape by Yu Chengyao. It changed hands for a price of HKD 5,780,000.00 (€ 587,379.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 4,000,000.00 – 6,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Magnificent Landscape is the most expensive artwork by Yu Chengyao that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im November 2008 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese 20th Century Art (Evening Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Magnificent Landscape von Yu Chengyao zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 5.780.000,00 (€ 587.379,86) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 4.000.000,00 – 6.000.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Magnificent Landscape das teuerste Kunstwerk von Yu Chengyao, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
