The work Landscape by Yuan Songnian was sold in the Chinese Paintings auction at Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne in December 2020. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 12,300 (€ 10,057), 54% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Yuan Songnian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work in April 2010 with an auction result of HKD 548,000 (€ 53,061).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 54% übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Yuan Songnian wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Chinese Paintings bei Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 12.300 (€ 10.057) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yuan Songnian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 548.000 (€ 53.061).
