Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Thabile, Johannesburg, 2014 (Framed) by Zanele Muholi was auctioned at Bonhams in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,375.00 (€ 7,252.79). Admittedly, works by Zanele Muholi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Alakhe in December last year with an auction result of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 39,827.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Thabile, Johannesburg, 2014 (Framed) von Zanele Muholi kam im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.375,00 (€ 7.252,79) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zanele Muholi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Alakhe im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 39.827,68).
