Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Rani's Garden by Zarina. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,900.00 (€ 19,319.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zarina achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tasbih (Gold) in March last year with an auction result of USD 365,400.00 (€ 329,396.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rani's Garden von Zarina zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.900,00 (€ 19.319,23) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zarina erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tasbih (Gold) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 365.400,00 (€ 329.396,92).
