Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mask 2000 No. 3 by Zeng Fanzhi was sold in the REdiscovery Manfred Schoeni's Legacy auction at Bonhams in London in May this year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 24,654,000.00 (€ 2,955,055.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 15,000,000.00 – 25,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zeng Fanzhi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Last Supper in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 180,440,000.00 (€ 17,122,818.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mask 2000 No. 3 von Zeng Fanzhi wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion REdiscovery Manfred Schoeni's Legacy bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 24.654.000,00 (€ 2.955.055,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000.000,00 – 25.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zeng Fanzhi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Last Supper im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 180.440.000,00 (€ 17.122.818,89).
