Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Falling Stripes - 2015 by Zest was auctioned at Artcurial in Montpellier in October 2015, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 501.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at EUR 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zest; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Going Round In Circles 2 - 2017 sold at auction in December 2020 with the realized price of EUR 3,120.00.
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Falling Stripes - 2015 von Zest im Oktober 2015 bei Artcurial in Montpellier versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 501,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 2.000,00 mehr als dreimal so hoch. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zest; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Going Round In Circles 2 - 2017 im Dezember 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 3.120,00.
