Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Poem In Calligraphy by Zhang Boju was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2016, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 50,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at HKD 188,800.00 (€ 22,217.84). Admittedly, works by Zhang Boju have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orchid in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 1,888,000.00 (€ 212,591.60).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Poem In Calligraphy von Zhang Boju im Oktober 2016 bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 50.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 188.800,00 (€ 22.217,84) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Boju auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Orchid im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.888.000,00 (€ 212.591,60).
