Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zhang Shanzi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work A Family Of Tigers sold for HKD 1,750,000.00 (€ 199,200.96) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Shanzi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Prowling Tiger, which sold at auction in November 2011 for HKD 4,220,000.00 (€ 403,712.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Shanzi erzielte im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit A Family Of Tigers für HKD 1.750.000,00 (€ 199.200,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Shanzi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Prowling Tiger beobachtet, die im November 2011 für HKD 4.220.000,00 (€ 403.712,18) versteigert wurde.
