Upper estimate price exceeded by 43 %.
The work Ego Project: Yasumasa Morimura / Marilyn by Zhou Tiehai was sold in the The Ullens Collection - Experimentation and Evolution auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. It achieved a price of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 46,174.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 43%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhou Tiehai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Will/We Must (Set Of 15 Works) in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,840,000.00 (€ 498,292.10).
