Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Forest And Stream by Zhu Meicun. It changed hands for a price of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,789.21) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhu Meicun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ladies Embroidering A Hundred Butterflies in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 3,500,000.00 (€ 394,327.42).
