Auction result misses estimated price range
In November last year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Flowers in a Vase) by Zubeida Agha for GBP 12,750.00 (€ 14,774.34). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zubeida Agha - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 37,800.00 (€ 34,075.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Flowers in a Vase) von Zubeida Agha für GBP 12.750,00 (€ 14.774,34) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zubeida Agha mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 37.800,00 (€ 34.075,54) versteigert wurde.
