Where the VISIBLE dissolves into IMAGINATION

Drawing from nature, architecture, and even the most ordinary objects, Astrid Krehan always approaches her works with the intention to move beyond what is seen towards what is felt.
The camera becomes a tool of transformation, much like a painter’s brush, shaping colours, textures, and forms into visual compositions that are no longer tied to their source. The final work bears no trace of the original object; instead, it evokes emotion, rhythm, and memory.
Influenced by diverse cultures, Astrid’s work traces the invisible threads that connect us across geographies and perspectives, from the ways we relate to one another to the ways we relate to the world around us. Her work invites a quiet reflection on connection, perception, and shared responsibility.
