NEVER SEIZE TO WONDER

"Following a general conceptual idea is deeply rooted in my professional DNA. But this only marginally applies to painting and collage. More often than not, the basic idea transforms through the creative process, influenced by the stages of painting/assembling, by the medium itself or by the muse that sometimes taps on my shoulder to point into a quite different direction, generally one I had not considered at all.

Taking that into account, each of my projects is a journey in itself. And leads to a result that often astonishes and humbles me. So much about one´s planning and calculations. Making art is by no means a straight line but an adventure of detours and doubts and suprises and joy. And utterly satisfying."
