DIMENSIONS of figurative perception
Covering a wide range of creative aspects from classical painting to analogue and digital collage, Chris always approaches his works from a similar ANGLE: a very focused, very close perception of the nature of things and beings, of light and shadow, of lines and references and of colours and their combination.
Be it a dancer in movement with the sea in motion as a background, be it a collage with an arrangement of colours, people and structures, the DIALOGUE of elements is of utter importance and omnipresent.
Drawing inspiration from many sources (nature, media, theatre, ballet and opera, photography, extensive traveling and the great museums), Chris tends to channel these into his very individual artwork that clearly accentuates the SPLENDOUR of life and his personal view on the world we live in, the beauty around us and the challenges we have to face.

A look at the essentials
In his first solo exhibition in Düsseldorf, Chris Wehrmann is presenting many paintings that have never before been shown in an exhibition. Chris Wehrmann: Universal Nature opens on May 9 at 7 pm at the art space HUNDERTNEUN.

The innovative art fair Art Artist, which has been taking place since 2023, is held in parallel to Art Düsseldorf. This year, Gabriele Weide and Chris Wehrmann from the Art.Salon artist program will also be presenting some works there. Art Artist runs from April 11 to 13 also in Düsseldorf and is open from 2 pm to 10 pm.

Until March 30, digital collages by Chris Wehrmann can be seen in the exhibition beein-DRUCKT at the BBK Kunstforum Düsseldorf. The show, curated by Layla Reg and Kristine Tusiashvili, presents printmaking works under the theme »The world is beautiful«.

Parallel zur Art Düsseldorf findet in der Nähe die innovative Kunstmesse Art Artist statt, die es seit 2023 gibt. Dieses Jahr präsentieren dort auch Gabriele Weide und Chris Wehrmann aus dem Künstlerprogramm des Art.Salon einige Arbeiten. Die Art Artist läuft vom 11. bis zum 13. April und ist jeweils von 14 bis 22 Uhr geöffnet.

Noch bis zum 30. März sind in der Ausstellung beein-DRUCKT des BBK Kunstforum Düsseldorf digitale Collagen von Chris Wehrmann zu sehen. Die von Layla Reg und Kristine Tusiashvili kuratierte Schau präsentiert druckgrafische Arbeiten unter dem Thema »Die Welt ist schön«.
