The image was created when two of my images were combined in my head and in Photoshop to a unit in terms of form and content. The mythical story of Undine, the water spirit, who wanted to become a human out of love, has always fascinated me.

The picture shows two female figures freeing themselves from the ice. For me, dance and movement are always an act of liberation. In the digital photo collages I combine moving human bodies with structures.

Bauhaus was always a great inspiration for me and the reason for studying art history. Their experiments also inspired me to experiment with photography - here with long exposure. The movement creates painterly structures and sculptural forms and removes the documentary character of photography.

The photo, taken in long exposure, reminded me of the sculpture of the Futurist Umberto Boccioni.
