1982 first stay in the USA, first formative confrontation with American Art and especially with the Abstract Expressionism in New York City and San Francisco

1982 - 1987 studies of painting at the Freie Kunstschule Nürtingen, Germany

1985/86 formative work meetings with Emilio Vedova in Venice, Italy

1987 - 2002 lives and works in Berlin, Germany, supported by a scholarship from the Berlin Senate and the Berlin Artists' Fund, Germany

1988 scholarship and residency in Civitella d`Agliano, Italy

1994 - 1995 scholarship from the Käthe-Dorsch Foundation Berlin, Germany for further artistic development in New York City

since 2002 living and working in Berlin and Black Forest, Germany
