In July 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Peonies by Abbott Fuller Graves. The »bidding war« ended at USD 15,075.00 (€ 12,803.64), 51% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abbott Fuller Graves achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grandmother's Doorway in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 180,000.00 (€ 145,760.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peonies von Abbott Fuller Graves zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 15.075,00 (€ 12.803,64) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abbott Fuller Graves erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grandmother's Doorway im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 180.000,00 (€ 145.760,79).
