The price achieved of USD 173,000.00 (€ 153,232.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adam Pynacker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Peasant Playing With His Dog While Resting At The Margin Of A Wood, which sold at auction in July 2011 for GBP 481,250.00 (€ 552,306.37).
