Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Arab Chief by Adolf Schreyer was sold in the The European Art Sale Part I auction at Sothebys in New York in January last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 44,100.00 (€ 39,332.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Adolf Schreyer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Chase in April 2005 with an auction result of USD 464,000.00 (€ 359,160.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Arab Chief von Adolf Schreyer wurde im Januar letzten Jahres in der Auktion The European Art Sale Part I bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 39.332,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adolf Schreyer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Chase im April 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 464.000,00 (€ 359.160,93).
