Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work L'odalisque by Adolphe Weisz for GBP 19,120.00 (€ 29,574.31). This price was achieved in the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART INCLUDING OTTOMANS & ORIENTALISTS at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adolphe Weisz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'Odalisque, which sold at auction in December 2003 for GBP 50,190.00 (€ 71,087.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit L'odalisque von Adolphe Weisz für GBP 19.120,00 (€ 29.574,31) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART INCLUDING OTTOMANS & ORIENTALISTS bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Adolphe Weisz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'Odalisque beobachtet, die im Dezember 2003 für GBP 50.190,00 (€ 71.087,56) versteigert wurde.
