Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adriaan Hendrik Boshoff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cape flower seller, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 7,395.00 (€ 8,767.60).

Die Arbeit An Ox-Cart In A South African Landscape von Adriaan Hendrik Boshoff kam im Dezember 2013 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.375,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
