Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2002 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work A bay horse in a paddock by Adrienne Lester. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 763.75 (€ 1,181.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Adrienne Lester have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2004 the work We two was auctioned for GBP 1,314.50 (€ 1,956.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit A bay horse in a paddock von Adrienne Lester zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 763,75 (€ 1.181,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Adrienne Lester konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2004 die Arbeit We two für GBP 1.314,50 (€ 1.956,37) versteigert.
