Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait of Lord Castelreagh (1739-1821), head-and-shoulders; and Portrait of William Carr, Viscount Beresford (1768-1854), head-and-shoulders by Agostino Aglio was sold in the Irish and 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in May 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 657.25 (€ 986.12). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Agostino Aglio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A group of stone pines near Tivoli, seen from Villa Adriana in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 15,062.68).
