Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Christies in London held the auction British & Continental Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Portrait of Tsar Alexander I of Russia, bust-length, in formal dress (illustrated); and Portrait of King George IV, bust-length, turned to the left by Agostino Aglio. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,436.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Agostino Aglio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A group of stone pines near Tivoli, seen from Villa Adriana in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 15,062.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British & Continental Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Tsar Alexander I of Russia, bust-length, in formal dress (illustrated); and Portrait of King George IV, bust-length, turned to the left von Agostino Aglio zur Versteigerung kam.
