Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ai Weiwei achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2008. In the Contemporary Chinese Art III - The Estella Collection auction, the work Dropping A Han Dynasty Urn (Set Of Three) sold for HKD 967,500.00 (€ 79,734.23) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 450,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ai Weiwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Circle of Animals / Zodiac Heads in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 3,442,500.00 (€ 4,853,881.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ai Weiwei erzielte im April 2008 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art III - The Estella Collection wurde die Arbeit Dropping A Han Dynasty Urn (Set Of Three) für HKD 967.500,00 (€ 79.734,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 450.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ai Weiwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Circle of Animals / Zodiac Heads im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.442.500,00 (€ 4.853.881,79).
