This artwork by Alan Rogers achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2012. In the Posters With A Purpose: The London Transport Museum Sale auction, the work Safety Underground sold for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,993.70) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alan Rogers; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Speed Underground sold at auction in October 2012 with the realized price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,459.95).
