Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work The artist's mother seated II (Mère de l'artist assise II) by Alberto Giacometti for CHF 875.00 (€ 812.65). This price was achieved in the auction Swiss Art Online Sale at Christies in Zurich (Online) and was even below the estimate range of CHF 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alberto Giacometti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'homme au doigt in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 141,285,000.00 (€ 128,511,006.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The artist's mother seated II (Mère de l'artist assise II) von Alberto Giacometti für CHF 875,00 (€ 812,65) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Swiss Art Online Sale bei Christies in Zürich (Online) erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von CHF 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alberto Giacometti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'homme au doigt im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 141.285.000,00 (€ 128.511.006,00).
