This artwork by Alejandro Obregón achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2012. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Condor sold for USD 98,500.00 (€ 75,710.99) - well above the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alejandro Obregón - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bodegón, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 252,000.00 (€ 234,833.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alejandro Obregón erzielte im November 2012 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Art wurde die Arbeit Condor für USD 98.500,00 (€ 75.710,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alejandro Obregón mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bodegón beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 252.000,00 (€ 234.833,66) versteigert wurde.
