Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Christ in the house of Martha and Mary by Alessandro Maganza was auctioned at Christies in October 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,410.32). Other works by Alessandro Maganza have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2007 by the work Sheet Of Figure Studies: Christ And The Virgin And Three Angels at GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,802.52).

Als die Arbeit Christ in the house of Martha and Mary von Alessandro Maganza im Oktober 2021 bei Christies versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.410,32) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Alessandro Maganza wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juli 2007 die Arbeit Sheet Of Figure Studies: Christ And The Virgin And Three Angels mit GBP 6.600,00 (€ 9.802,52).
