Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2001 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Found by Alexander Rosell. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 528.75 (€ 841.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Rosell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Domestic Bliss, which sold at auction in September 2000 for GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,752.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Found von Alexander Rosell zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 528,75 (€ 841,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Rosell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Domestic Bliss beobachtet, die im September 2000 für GBP 1.645,00 (€ 2.752,59) versteigert wurde.
