This artwork by Alexander van Bredael achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2013. In the Old Masters & British Paintings auction, the work A village landscape with figures playing ball games sold for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,504.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alexander van Bredael; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The "Ommegang" at the Meir, Antwerp sold at auction in June 2015 with the realized price of EUR 37,500.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander van Bredael erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters & British Paintings wurde die Arbeit A village landscape with figures playing ball games für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.504,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Alexander van Bredael; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The "Ommegang" at the Meir, Antwerp im Juni 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 37.500,00.
