Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,862.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Yakut - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Uzbekistan, Midnight. Sleeping Donkey, which sold at auction in March 2008 for GBP 31,700.00 (€ 39,823.06).
