Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alexey Titarenko could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Changing Focus - A Collection of Russian and Eastern European Contemporary Photography auction, the work Five Works From The Black And White Magic Of St Petersburg Series changed hands for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,753.84) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by Alexey Titarenko have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2013 by the work Three Works From The City Of Shadows Series And Four Works From Time Standing Still Series at GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,130.76).
