Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Tehuanas con floripondios y gladiolas by Alfonso X. Peña for USD 68,750.00 (€ 57,782.82). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfonso X. Peña - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2014 for USD 245,000.00 (€ 196,977.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Tehuanas con floripondios y gladiolas von Alfonso X. Peña für USD 68.750,00 (€ 57.782,82) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfonso X. Peña mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2014 für USD 245.000,00 (€ 196.977,01) versteigert wurde.
