Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alfredo Volpi could be acquired at Christies in New York in May 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin American Sale auction, the work Fachada changed hands for USD 47,800.00 (€ 51,183.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfredo Volpi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bandeirinhas estruturadas in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 842,500.00 (€ 626,254.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfredo Volpi konnte im Mai 2002 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin American Sale wechselte die Arbeit Fachada für USD 47.800,00 (€ 51.183,21) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfredo Volpi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bandeirinhas estruturadas im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 842.500,00 (€ 626.254,37).
