Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Classical Head Study by Allan Gwynne-Jones for GBP 240.00 (€ 355.70). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allan Gwynne-Jones achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Torth Hovis a Chyllell (Hovis Loaf and Knife) in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,712.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Classical Head Study von Allan Gwynne-Jones für GBP 240,00 (€ 355,70) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Allan Gwynne-Jones erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Torth Hovis a Chyllell (Hovis Loaf and Knife) im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.600,00 (€ 9.712,35).
