It achieved a price of USD 112,500.00 (€ 95,549.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 61%. Admittedly, works by Amelia Peláez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Las Hermanas in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 569,000.00 (€ 438,096.70).

Die Arbeit Still Life von Amelia Peláez wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 95.549,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 61%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Amelia Peláez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Las Hermanas im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 569.000,00 (€ 438.096,70).
