This artwork by André Butzer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in December last year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in association with Yongle auction, the work without title sold for HKD 1,701,000.00 (€ 203,840.16) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by André Butzer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chips und Pepsi und Medizin (Das Glück), which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 403,200.00 (€ 477,683.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von André Butzer erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in association with Yongle wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 1.701.000,00 (€ 203.840,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von André Butzer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Chips und Pepsi und Medizin (Das Glück) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 403.200,00 (€ 477.683,10) versteigert wurde.
