Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Mother and child by the lake by André Gisson for USD 2,880.00 (€ 2,270.04). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by André Gisson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work At The Carousel in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,842.14).
