ANDREW MASULLO (B. 1957) 3304; 3247 [Two Works] (i) 3247 signed, titled and dated '3247. Masullo. 97-98.' (on the reverse) oil on canvas 6 x 12 in. (15.2 x 30.5 cm.) Painted in 1997-1998. (ii) 3304 signed, titled and dated '3304. Masullo. 97.' (on the reverse) oil on canvas 11 x 14 in. (28 x 35.5 cm.) Painted in 1997.
Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work 3304; 3247 Two Works by Andrew Masullo was auctioned at Christies in New York in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,670.00 (€ 5,215.23). Admittedly, works by Andrew Masullo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 1847; 1851; 1855; 1880; 2173 [Five Works|AID700456] in May last year with an auction result of USD 27,720.00 (€ 25,831.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit 3304; 3247 Two Works von Andrew Masullo kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.670,00 (€ 5.215,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andrew Masullo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 1847; 1851; 1855; 1880; 2173 [Five Works|AID700456] im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 25.831,70).
