This artwork by Grandma Moses achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2018. In the American Art auction, the work Come On sold for USD 187,500.00 (€ 160,668.38) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Grandma Moses have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sugaring Off in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 1,360,000.00 (€ 1,025,563.68).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Grandma Moses erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Come On für USD 187.500,00 (€ 160.668,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Grandma Moses auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sugaring Off im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.360.000,00 (€ 1.025.563,68).
