Auction result misses estimated price range
In April last year a collector was able to acquire the work Anno oxypetalum by Anna Ridler for USD 27,720.00 (€ 26,307.30). This price was achieved in the auction Natively Digital 1.3: Generative Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anna Ridler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Shell Record, which sold at auction in June 2021 for USD 100,800.00 (€ 85,077.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Anno oxypetalum von Anna Ridler für USD 27.720,00 (€ 26.307,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Natively Digital 1.3: Generative Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anna Ridler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Shell Record beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für USD 100.800,00 (€ 85.077,65) versteigert wurde.
