The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,103.58), 52% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anna Louisa Swynnerton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Joan Of Arc, which sold at auction in December 2006 for GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,180.90).

Die Arbeit Equestrian portrait of Lady Mercy Marter, daughter of Frances, Countess of Warwick von Anna Louisa Swynnerton wurde im Dezember 2012 in der Auktion Peter Langan: A Life with Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 13.103,58) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Anna Louisa Swynnerton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Joan Of Arc beobachtet, die im Dezember 2006 für GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.180,90) versteigert wurde.
