Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Walhalla by Anselm Kiefer was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Phillips in London in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,076,500.00 (€ 1,224,726.68). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anselm Kiefer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Für Velimir Khlebnikov: Die Lehre vom Krieg: Seeschlachten, which sold at auction in June 2016 for GBP 2,389,000.00 (€ 2,867,579.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Walhalla von Anselm Kiefer wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.076.500,00 (€ 1.224.726,68) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Anselm Kiefer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Für Velimir Khlebnikov: Die Lehre vom Krieg: Seeschlachten beobachtet, die im Juni 2016 für GBP 2.389.000,00 (€ 2.867.579,59) versteigert wurde.
